Storm damage doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes it's a few missing shingles. Other times the underlayment is compromised and you won't know it until water is dripping through your ceiling. That's exactly the kind of situation we dealt with on this Grand Prairie home - and it's why getting a proper inspection after any major storm matters so much.

Here's what we were working with before the new roof went on: old shingles stripped back to bare decking, degraded felt paper torn up across the entire surface, and penetrations like the turbine vent that needed to be properly reseated. That's the messy middle of a complete roof replacement, and we don't cut corners on any of it. We laid down fresh SBS synthetic roofing felt across the whole deck before a single new shingle went on.

From there, we installed new dark gray asphalt shingles over a solid base of synthetic underlayment - the same underlayment you see being rolled out across the decking mid-install. Every penetration was flashed and sealed correctly. Every course of shingles was laid clean and straight. The result is a tight, weather-ready roof that this home can count on for years.

One thing we hear a lot from homeowners is that they don't know how to start the insurance claim process. That's a big part of what we do. We help walk you through it the right way - so you're not leaving money on the table and you're not getting pressured into something that doesn't make sense for your situation. Storm damage claims can be straightforward when you have the right people in your corner.

If your roof took a hit from a recent storm, don't sit on it. A small issue today can turn into serious water damage fast - especially heading into the heart of Texas storm season. We're here to take a look, give you an honest assessment, and help you figure out the best path forward.
